Swimming Lessons, Group
Group lessons include eight 50-minute sessions, composed of 4-6 students, two days a week for four weeks.
National YMCA Aquatics programs are designed to teach personal water safety, stroke development, water sports & games, rescue and personal growth skills to children. Our program is divided by age and skill levels. Advancing to the next level is dependent on the child’s completion of required skills. Children learn at their own pace. Session length does not guarantee that all children will advance to the next level. All instructors are trained to work with children.
All registration dates remain open until all spots are filled or the session starts.
Cancellations are to be made at least twelve (12) hours prior to lessons. Please call the front desk with any cancellations. Failure to do so will result in loss of class. Only one excused absence will be made up. Excused absences are medical,and/or family emergency.
Refunds are available with a 5-day written notice and carry a $10 processing fee. Checks will be mailed with 15-20 business days. Fees are non-refundable once a session begins. If a child is unable to complete a session due to fear of the water, the Aquatics Director may issue a program credit. Program credits allow the child to complete the session at a later date. Program credit request must be made in writing within 5 days of the session.
